About Our Opportunity:
The Retail Key Account Manager is responsible for building revenue and profit at Walmart and Sam’s Club and has a strong sense of ownership and urgency that drives results. As the voice of the customer internally, the Key Account Manager will provide leadership to the broader shared service functions that support Walmart & Sam’s including digital content, forecasting, logistics, brand marketing, and finance. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for revenue growth, profitability, analytics, forecasting, and brand presence. Professional intelligence that facilitates effective external and internal communications, coupled with the ability to turn data to actionable insights are key skills required to succeed. This position will be focused on working directly with the various teams at Walmart & Sam’s including Merchandising, Branding, Marketing, Store Operations, Supply Chain and Finance.

Travel:
This position requires approximately 25-30% travel, some international.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Develops account strategy and executes a tactical plan to drive sales growth
- Analyzes POS, event results and related metrics to evaluate and refine strategies/tactics
- Works cross-functionally with global business, brand and digital marketing teams
- Works directly with Walmart & Sam’s to achieve sales/margin objectives
- Responsible for Walmart’s and Sam’s P&L in coordination with supporting functions
- Drives profitable growth to meet or exceed annual revenue and profit plan
- Negotiates all programs, promotions to deliver agreed account pro forma
- Develop and manage promotional budget in coordination with global business team
- Creates monthly and annual sales reports in accordance with key performance indicators
- Places new and existing product through product line reviews, new product launches, etc.
- Works closely with marketing and product development teams on product offering, pricing and promotions
- Works closely with brand management and product management to maintain a robust and comprehensive product road map for the channel
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- 3-5 years of experience in sales/account management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills within all levels of an organization
- Strong understanding of sales forecasting; financial management; merchandising
- Excellent business management and developmental skills
- Experience with assigned retailer’s systems a plus (Retail Link)
- Position will be located by Walmart headquarters in Bentonville, AR
